Chrome Extension Developer

We are looking for a Chrome Extension Developer who can develop, modify, and maintain interactive Chrome extensions that integrate seamlessly with frontend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in JavaScript, React.js, Vue.js, Express.js, Next.js, Node.js, and MongoDB. Additionally, they should be skilled in troubleshooting and providing support for end users. Chrome Extension Development & Maintenance - Develop interactive Chrome extensions from scratch with a focus on UI/UX and performance. - Modify and enhance existing Chrome extensions to add new features and improve functionality. - Ensure secure and seamless communication between the extension and the frontend application. Integration & Frontend Development - Integrate Chrome extensions with web applications using APIs, WebSockets, and background scripts. - Ensure smooth data flow between the extension and backend services. - Work with frontend frameworks like React.js, Vue.js, Next.js, and Express.js for UI development. Troubleshooting & User Support - Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for extension-related issues. - Debug and resolve performance bottlenecks, compatibility issues, and API failures. - Conduct testing across different browsers and environments to ensure seamless performance. Performance Optimization & Security - Optimize extension performance, minimize memory usage, and enhance loading speed. - Implement security best practices to prevent vulnerabilities like XSS, CSRF, and data leaks. - Ensure compliance with Chrome Web Store policies and guidelines. Collaboration & Continuous Learning - Work closely with frontend developers, designers, and backend teams to ensure smooth integration. - Stay up to date with Chrome Extension APIs, Manifest v3 updates, and web technologies. Technical Skills Frontend Development: React.js, Vue.js, Next.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript Backend Development: Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, RESTful APIs Chrome Extension Development: - Background scripts, Content scripts, Popup pages - Messaging & Communication APIs - Storage API, WebSockets - OAuth & Authentication for Google APIs Performance & Security: - Caching, Web Workers, Memory Management - Security best practices (CORS, CSP, Secure APIs) Version Control & Deployment: Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket Testing & Debugging: Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Chrome DevTools Cloud & Hosting: AWS, Firebase, Netlify, Vercel Preferred Qualification - Experience in publishing and maintaining Chrome extensions on the Chrome Web Store. - Knowledge of browser storage mechanisms, local storage, and IndexedDB. - Understanding of OAuth authentication, API rate limits, and third-party API integrations. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. Education - Masters/bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent work experience.
